(Regarding Parallel Import of Electrical Appliances)

Shun Hing Electronic Trading Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the company), as the sole agent of Panasonic products in Hong Kong and Macau, has recently found in the market that some parallel import of electrical appliances does not comply with the “Electrical Products (Safety) Regulation” (hereinafter referred to as the regulation), and we have received many inquiries and even complaints from consumers. According to the regulation, the supplier of an electrical product shall ensure that a certificate of safety compliance has been issued for the electrical product before its supply and the product complies with the applicable safety requirements.

To protect the rights of consumers, the company declares that it will not provide any warranty nor support services, including paid maintenance services and parts supply for Panasonic parallel imports that do not meet the regulation.

The company would like to remind consumers that use of parallel imports carries inherent safety risks. In the event of any incident related to the use of parallel imports, it might affect the claim of insurance or even be sued by affected parties. Therefore, we urge consumers to exercise caution when considering the use of parallel imports and to prioritize their safety and well-being.
